About Us
CREATE-DIH is focused to guide local Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Mid-Caps in adopting agile manufacturing technologies that include, in particular, Robotics and Automation.
The objective of CREATE-DIH, based on the “one-stop-shop” model, is to provide companies with all the guidelines in terms of funding, technical expertise, training and networking that are key-factors to face market and technology complexity.
The automation of processes and Robotics lend themselves to the goal of leading the craftsmanship of the manufacturing company to a higher level of technological maturity in order to realize an agile manufacturing thus improving responsiveness and efficiency towards market demands for smaller and more customizable batches.
CREATE’s strategic research program in Robotics is led by PRISMA Lab (Projects of Industrial and Service Robotics, Mechatronics and Automation, in DIETI (Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology) at University of Naples Federico II.
The PRISMA team is internationally recognized in the community for their achievements in aerial, assistive, cognitive, cooperative, industrial, service and surgical robotics. The record of the team can be measured by an average annual funding of 1.4 MEuro received during the last ten years.
CREATE Consortium (Research Consortium for Energy, Automation and Electromagnetism Technology) is a non profit research organisation possessing a legal personality and was founded in late 1992 with the aim of establishing a stable link between industry and university.
Current partners are:
ANSALDO Energia S.p.A.
University of Basilicata
University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli
University of Cassino and Southern Lazio
University of Naples Federico II
University of Naples Parthenope
University of Reggio Calabria
